Remembering the Incomparable George Fazio
Tucked within a peaceful wildlife sanctuary in PGA Village, the
Legacy Golf & Tennis Club pays tribute to the master designer of its
18-hole, par 72 golf course, George Fazio. The championship course,
originally known as The Reserve Golf & Country Club, was renamed The
Legacy in remembrance of George Fazio, and is regarded as one of
South Florida's finest golf venues. Its scenic beauty portrays the
tranquility of the refreshing preserves through which it runs. The
Legacy Club in PGA Village, located in Port St. Lucie, is reserved
exclusively for Legacy equity members and their guests. Here, in
addition to the Legacy Course, you'll find a Jim Fazio-designed
executive course called The Yellow Course. A comprehensive practice
facility includes a driving range and bunker practice areas.
The charming Old Florida
style clubhouse offers casually elegant dining and entertaining.
Meet friends for lunch on the porch and gaze out upon a beautiful
lake at the 9th hole. Or stop by the Fazio Club (19th hole) for
snacks and beverages. An abundance of social activities runs the
gamut from exciting holiday events to Members' Appreciation Night.
Tennis is a big favorite at The Legacy, and boasts one of the finest
facilities in the area. Six lighted courts see lots of action with
the Women's Tennis Association, the Legacy Men's Team, round robins,
clinics, and professional coaching. A wide selection of homes by
Kolter at PGA Village includes single-family custom residences,
maintenance-free townhomes, and golf villas.
